I agree that society is secularising. Yet the job of the church is to supply and train ministers
(who, as the article goes on to observe, should preach scripture with energy and
enthusiasm rather than focusing on secular issues). Research shows that a policy of
“withdrawing” ministers will further reduce attendance and giving.
